IHG Hotels & Resorts Announces New Staybridge Suites In Budapest, Antwerp, And Belfast

IHG Hotels & Resorts expands in Europe with new Staybridge Suites in Budapest, Antwerp, and Belfast, catering to the growing demand for upscale extended stay options.

IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), a leading global hotel company, is expanding its footprint in the upscale extended stay market in Europe with the addition of Staybridge Suites locations in Budapest – Parkside, Hungary; Antwerp, Belgium; and Belfast, Northern Ireland. These new agreements highlight the ongoing appeal of the extended stay segment for both property owners and guests, underscoring the strength of IHG’s brand portfolio in providing all-suite accommodations ideal for those seeking more space or longer stays.

These new Staybridge Suites properties will exemplify the brand’s commitment to offering spacious, residential-style living. Guests will enjoy the convenience of fully equipped kitchens in each suite, allowing them to prepare their own meals. The properties will feature extensive amenities, including 24-hour fitness rooms, convenience stores, complimentary laundry facilities, and storage lockers for secure item storage during or between stays. Each hotel will also provide a daily breakfast buffet, light bites, and a three-times-weekly evening social event called “The Social,” where guests can enjoy complimentary small plates and beverages in a communal setting.

IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) is expanding its Staybridge Suites brand across the UK and continental Europe with several new signings:

Pipeline

• Staybridge Suites Budapest – Parkside, Hungary: This 152-room hotel, set to open in 2027, marks Staybridge Suites’ entry into the Hungarian market. Developed by UDI Group and franchised to Mogotel Hotel Group, it will be part of a mixed-use project in Budapest’s 13th district. The location offers convenient access to Vaci Road, a key business corridor, and is near Margaret Island, Obuda Island, and City Park, making it attractive to both business and leisure travelers.
• Staybridge Suites Antwerp, Belgium: Scheduled to open at the end of 2026, this 99-room hotel will be the brand’s first in Belgium. Partnered with Borealis Hotel Group, it is strategically located near the train station, city center, and diamond district, appealing to both leisure and business guests.
• Staybridge Suites Belfast, Northern Ireland: Expected to open in late 2027, this 132-room property will be part of the Bedford Yard development. Owned by Andras House, it will offer panoramic views of the city, including landmarks like City Hall, Gasworks, and the Belfast Hills.
• Staybridge Suites Malaga, Spain: Opening later this year, this 105-suite hotel will debut the brand in Spain. As part of the Urban Sky project, it will blend the features of private apartment living with hotel amenities, offering state-of-the-art facilities.

Recent Additions

• Staybridge Suites Cannes Centre, France: Opened in November 2023, this 81-room hotel is located near the famous Croisette, SNCF train station, and a short drive from Nice Côte d’Azur Airport. It has quickly become popular for both short and long-term stays.

IHG’s strategic expansion of the Staybridge Suites brand includes nine properties in the pipeline, adding to the existing 10 hotels across Europe. Globally, Staybridge Suites operates 324 properties with an additional 171 slated to open in the next 3-5 years. This brand is part of IHG’s all-suites collection, which includes Candlewood Suites and Atwell Suites, all designed to provide exceptional extended stay experiences.
